The new table tennis table finally arrived at Park Community Centre and had its inaugural matches played by the Park Youth Club (PDY).   The funding for this was received from the Co-operative Community Fund and was for providing activities for the Tuesday Evening Youth Club. PDY members are really pleased with the new addition to their facilities and want to send out their thanks for the funding to everyone who was involved in submitting the application for the funding and also to The Co-operative Community Fund for allocating the money to their Youth Club.

The Youth Club has been running for 3 years and no longer receives its initial funding. It is essential that new funding be obtained if the Youth Club is to continue with the good work it does. The Youth Leader has, and continues to receive, training through Dorset Youth Services and is keen to carry on the good work which is going on through the club, as is the Waterside Weymouth Community Forum which gives support by providing the premises where the Youth Club meets and promoting the club.

If your offspring wishes to come along and join in with the fun, then it’s very easy to do. The club meets every Tuesday between 6.30 and 8.30 and is for school years 6 to 9. Subs are a mere 50 pence and a tuck shop is available.
We offer pool, snooker, table tennis, table football, karaoke, and computer gaming or just chatting and listening to music. There are also additional special events, such as the recent Gladiator Night and  coming up recycled fashion! -bowling trip! -games night! -pizza plan & make nights!-easter egg hunt!

The club will be closed for Easter holidays Tues March 2nd & Tues  April  9
All staff are fun and friendly so what are you waiting for - come down to the Park Community Centre and find new friends or meet old ones.
Additionally if you feel that this is the exact type of volunteering you would like to take part in then just drop into the Park Community Centre and leave your details so the paperwork and CRB checks can be carried out first
