WATERSIDE Weymouth Community Forum are holding their AGM at the Park Community Centre on Wednesday, April 6 at 7.30pm.

If any resident would like to join the committee and would like to know what it entails please ring 839579 and leave a message, someone will get back to you.

I did state that I was retiring at the AGM, but my plans have been put on hold and nobody has come forward, so if re-elected I will continue for another six months. In the meantime the committee are really anxious to find somebody who could shadow myself and eventually take over.

The committee have now taken on some of the work along with extra volunteers and this is working very well, as we realise not everybody has as much time as I have to spend at the centre As part of the general meeting, which includes Pact, we have invited Kate Hinson from Weymouth and Portland Borough Council and Richard Drax MP to join in a discussion on HMO's.

We look forward to a lively debate!

We will also have a presentation by Anna Beech about the seagull bags. These will be used by the residents to keep their black bags in on refuse collection days. We hope this will mean a lot less rubbish being scattered about by the early morning attacks by the birds.
