The Sea Front Stall on the Esplanade took place on Saturday September 15 . The Forum Treasurer, Dave Burchill, announced that the combination of volunteers and good weather made the stall a success with £283.87 being raised for the Forum coffers .  Dave would like to send a huge thank you to everyone who donated his or her quality items, helped to get it ready, volunteered for working on the stall and who came along on the day and bought something from them.

Following on from the Flood Clinic that was held at the Park Community Centre on September 4 the Community Centre is trying to obtain some Aqua sacks for future flood instances. These sacks are filled with silicone gel which then swells when wet, then, when the floods have subsided, these sacks can be dried out and stored flat after use. They are lighter to carry and an improvement of removing the sand from the beach and traipsing back to the Park District with them. Initial enquiries have shown these to cost about £5.00 each to purchase in quantities of 250 a time.

But for the meantime, if you do have sandbags outside your property they are now your own responsibility to either store or dispose of.
