RADIPOLE Brownies and Guides are set to help and provide entertainment at the forthcoming Garden Fete at Avon Lea Nursing Home, Dorchester Road on Saturday, August 14, starting at 2pm.
There will be cream teas, various stalls, and manager, David Vincent, will be dodging wet sponges in the stocks.
Proceeds are for the extra treats enjoyed by residents.
THE next Community Meeting is to include a presentation on Preparations for the Sailing Olympics by Simon Williams, Borough Council Manager for Regeneration.
This will be held at St Augustine’s Church Hall, Lodmoor Hill, Dorchester Road at 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 8.
Current issues will be discussed and a range of matters of interest will be considered, with reports on actions taken since the last meeting.
These are popular meetings that have become a regular feature of community involvement for the neighbourhood and is a valuable means of communication for local residents.
