RUBBISH and a housewife is the literal translation of this lively piece of theatre. But is it a farce, burlesque or circus?
For 45 minutes, the four French performers provided a bit of each.
The setting is the kitchen of a Mr and Mrs (or should I say Monsieur et Madame).
In the course of cleaning the room, intruders cause mayhem, using chairs, a table, a bed, ladders and a plank of wood.
Throughout the action, they performed an assortment of circus acrobatics such as somersaults, handsprings and balancing. In between, there is comedy, a touch of ballet and fun on a bed. At the conclusion of their acts, the four artistes together with their interpreter, answered questions from the audience.
