Rebecca Ferguson has had a busy few years. X-Factor runner-up in 2010, she released her first album, ‘Heaven’ in 2011, charting at number 3.

Second album ‘Freedom’ was released in December last year, spawning top twenty hit ‘I Hope’ and she is now on her second UK tour, with support coming from the fantastic Philippa Hanna and girl band Vanquish.

Notoriously down to earth, Rebecca was strangely self-conscious when she wasn’t singing.

Looking sassy in a floor length silver and black dress, she began the night sitting at a fake bar, her fabulous voice coming at us loud and clear.

Rebecca connected extremely well with the audience, getting them clapping along right from the start and encouraging everyone to get up out of their seats and dance by the middle of her set.

The backdrop was simple, projecting coloured lights onto long curtains; no frills, no fuss. It’s all she needed with that voice.

She performed many of her own tracks, including ‘Beautiful Design’, and ‘Nothing’s Real But Love’, also covering Prince’s ‘Raspberry Beret’ and Katy Perry’s ‘Roar’.

She gave a solid performance which delighted everyone, proving she’s a firm people’s favourite who will be welcomed back any time.
