The last time I saw Example he was playing to forty thousand people at the Isle of Wight Festival.
Tonight at the O2 the crowd may be a lot smaller but they are one of the most boisterous I have seen here for a long time.
The band hit the stage and made a dreary Monday night feel like a Friday at the start of a weekend where everyone was determined to have a good time.
The venue was bouncing from the first note of the set to the very last beat of the encore, the sound was top notch and married with a light show that matched the mood perfectly he didn't put a foot wrong all night.
Interacting with the crowd to keep the energy levels up throughout the set he constantly called upon the them to keep moving and they did just that.
He is the perfect blend of a rapper who produces great songs delivered with enough of a dance beat and a backbone of pop running through them to reach a varied audience and keep them coming back for more.
Example has been around for a good while now and if he keeps on producing material of this quality he will be around for long time to come.
