Thousands of hipsters descended on the BIC on Friday night as Bombay Bicycle Club took to the stage of the Solent Hall at the BIC.

Dressed casually and looking like your average up-and-coming band at university, the boys are not of the brash, showbiz fraternity, who take to the stage in a hail of bright clothes and rely on dancers and backing vocals to steal the show.

They have been on the music scene for a while and it was nice to see the people of Bournemouth supporting them.

Radio 1's Zane Lowe also saw the gentlemen feature in his massively influential list, Zane Lowe's 100 Hottest Records with Luna, a beautiful, electro pop record from their latest album, So Long, See You Tomorrow.

They were supported onstage by two support acts, Peace and Sivu, and all together it made a great night of music for the cool hipsters in the town.

Personally, I only needed to see them perform live once, as I felt it just wasn't on another level to their recorded tracks.

However I am one person with one opinion, which clearly does not follow the main consensus when you consider how many people must have voted to put Bombay Bicycle Club in the top 20 of Zane Lowe's top 100 tracks.
