OH Kid Rock! What a horribly guilty pleasure you are!

First Kiss is the tenth studio album from the American singer and is an easy-going, crowd-pleasing, middle-aged rock affair.

No new ground is broken here but it has big choruses, big guitars and you WILL find yourself singing along.

It’s been quite a journey from rap-metal to blues-country and Kid Rock seems to have found his groove, albeit with the determination to tell us he is still ‘American Bad Ass.’

Along the themed of wild partying and living the good life, three of the songs on this ten song album have types of tipples mentioned in the title - the mid-tempo Drinking Beer With Dad, sing-along anthem Ain’t Enough Whiskey and the catchy Good Times, Cheap Wine.

Kid Rock likes to have a good time and clearly he wants you to know about it – Although you do sort of start to worry about his liver a little!

The album is a guilty-pleasure, county sing-a-long joy, except for the last track – which leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.

After all the good times, parties and positivity, the song F*** Off and Die, is about a lady who did Kid Rock wrong and he’s clearly not feeling very forgiving about the whole situation.

It’s a shame because the rest of the album is so much fun.
