I can imagine that shifting between two voices is a difficult task.

A practiced ventriloquist I'm sure doesn't find this very taxing. Maybe even juggling three would seem child's play.

But juggling six, with at least three regional accents, seemed almost normal to the very talented and even funnier Nina Conti.

Her newest tour In Your Face saw the Pavilion packed with people waiting for the near-infamous Monkey - which brought hilarity for many.

Rapidly delivered lines with a certain bashfulness is what she seems to be renowned for.

But for me, in amongst the somewhat chastising description of some audience members under the guise of Monkey, she was at her very best when dancing between all five members of her victims...I mean fans.

She even managed to put herself to sleep - a very good way to introduce and then reintroduce the interval. Again using the very rude Monkey (we don't know where he's from but we like him).

For anyone who hasn't seen on her TV she is well worth watching live and because it is 90 per cent improvised material.

Genius. In a miniskirt.
