WELSH heavy rockers Bullet For My Valentine bought their tour to the O2 in Boscombe last night with a promised set list comprising of the entirety of their debut album Poison.

Before we got there though there were two other groups on stage with one proving to be the act of the night in my opinion.

Cane Hill were first up and really got the crowd going with their brand of heavy rock, closely followed by Kill Switch Engage.

I must say that they did really engaged the crowd as they made the most use of the stage and supplied a constant stream of banter.

The security dealt well with a steady stream of bodies coming over the barrier, all of who just went straight back into the pretty good-natured crowd. These guys are so good and are definitely on my list of bands to catch again when they tour next.

Next up were headliners Bullet For My Valentine who launched straight into Her Voice the opening track from 2005 debut Poison followed by 4 Words and Tears Don’t Fall.

The rest of the album was blasted out in chronological order accompanied by a strobe filled light show that combined to assault the senses from start to finish. Main set closer The End left the sweating crowd wanting more and they didn’t have to wait long.

The encore then bought us up to date with Venom and No Way Out from 2015 release Venom before another dip into the past with Betrayal from 2010’s Fever.

They then took us further back with Demon from 2008 album Scream Aim Fire before they bought us right up to date closing the show with their latest single Don’t Need You.

All in all it was a great night with all three bands delivering excellent sets and proving themselves worth going to see in their own right.
