Dreamboats and Petticoats: rock 'n’ roll musical has us dancing in the aisles
FORTY-FOUR hit songs from the rock n’ roll era of the 1960s were played and sung alive on stage in this recortdf breaking musical.
Two young musicians, Norman and Bobby, compete in a song writing contest while attempting to attract the attentions of an attractive girl, Sue. Then there is a piano playing songstress, young Laura approaching her 16th birthday, a Teenager IN Love. In the end, she becomes Bobby’s Girl.
Classic hits from the stars of the time such as Cliff Richard, The Shadows, Billy Fury and many more got the packed audience clapping, standing and literally rock and rolling in the aisles.
The show continues until Saturday.
