TO HELP celebrate St David’s Day, The International Harp Ensemble brings harp playing to the fore at Lighthouse in Poole.

For the concert on March 1, the group will be joined by special guest Faryl Smith, who wowed the nation with her amazing voice on Britain’s Got Talent.

One minute Faryl Smith was an ordinary schoolgirl with a talent, the next she was being told in front of a national television audience by Simon Cowell, ‘You are literally one in a million.’ Thirteen-year-old sensation Faryl sang her way to the final of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent and into Britain’s front rooms.

It was an endorsement worth its weight in platinum with Faryl having now signed the largest record deal ever awarded to a schoolgirl.

The International Harp Ensemble is unique in the UK and was formed to provide professional training and to introduce the full range of the harp’s special sound to the British public.

The Ensemble of around 25 harpists comprises dedicated youngsters and adults.

The sound of one harp is beautiful, but together the Ensemble has a depth and excitement that is truly amazing.

All styles of music are explored during this unique evening from classical and Celtic to popular modern hits that really stretch the realms of possibilities and will thrill the whole family.

The concert on March 1 is at 7.30pm – call 0844 406 8666 for tickets and full details.
