Elvis McGonagall
THE flamboyant, zippy and charismatic Elvis McGonagall makes a welcome return to Beach and Barnicott tomorrow from 7.30pm.
MC’ing an evening of performance poetry he will be accompanied by the ‘visceral, poignant and riotously funny’ Luke Wright.
Both poets are familiar voices on Radio 3 and 4, and contribute regularly to the Sonny Award winning Saturday 5 Live.
Luke is currently one of John Cooper Clarke’s support acts and is considered one of the ‘funniest and most brilliant poets of his generation’.
The event is £6 on the door with the option of a pre-performance 2 course meal and ticket deal for £20.
