A REAL treat is in store for history buffs at local cinemas tomorrow.

The Vikings are coming to Cineworld in Weymouth and the Plaza and Odeon in Dorchester.

All three cinemas are showing Vikings – Live from the British Museum.

The special exhibition on the Viking world will be screened from the capital to cinemas across the country at 7pm.

At Cineworld in Weymouth, members of the Dorset based re-enactment group ‘Hrafnslith’ will be in the cinema foyer prior to the screening to meet customers and give some history about their group and about Viking lifestyle.

Hrafnslith (Troop of the Raven) is a Dorset based group formed in 2002 which belongs to the oldest re-enactment society The Vikings.

They re-create the lifestyles of the Viking and Anglo-Saxon peoples of the eighth century to the 11th century.
