MONEY was raised for three charities during a live broadcast event in Weymouth.
Cineworld in Weymouth showed D-Day 70 Years On, live from the Royal Albert Hall in London.
All profits from ticket sales went to the Royal British Legion, SSAFA and Skillforce.
An audience of 160 watched the live broadcast, which was preceded by a 1940s style dance routine performed by dancers from the Weymouth School of Ballet.
In the foyer of the cinema, members of the military vehicle preservation society set up a display that included a Second World War motorbike.
Representatives from SSAFA, the national armed forces charity, spoke to people about the charity’s work.
