A FUNNY and touching story about a very tidy boy and a very scruffy dog is coming to Broadmayne village hall tomorrow and Nether Compton village hall on December 6.

Theatre Alibi is presenting ‘Mucky Pup’, brought to both villages by Artsreach.

Ben loves order and cleanliness, but his life is thrown into chaos when Chatty, a free-spirited and very grubby dog comes to stay.

The only thing Ben really likes is swimming.

One weekend Ben’s mum borrows Mrs Grainger’s great big, smelly, scruffy dog Chatty.

At first it’s a disaster – but somehow a curious friendship is about to be forged. There’s plenty of fantastic doggy mayhem as Chatty drags Ben round the park, chases everything that moves and rolls in yucky, unmentionable things.

Exeter-based Theatre Alibi tours to some of the best-known theatres in the country and has an excellent reputation for producing imaginative and high quality work for families.

Performed with beautiful live piano music and props and puppets too, few will be able to resist Chatty’s charms.

Mucky Pup is at Broadmayne village hall tomorrow at 3pm.

It is then at Nether Compton village hall on Saturday December 6 at 4.30pm.
