A TALK and a visit with the National Trust local group in the next fortnight will give people a chance to find out more about the history of medicine and a local church.
On Tuesday May 12 the Rev. Stewart Timbrell will be giving a talk on Herbs and the History of Medicine at the St Aldhelm's Centre in Spa Road, Weymouth from 2.30pm.
This will be essentially a humorous talk littered with memories of childhood medicines
familiar to those of a sensible age!
There will be a small charge of £2.50 for National Trust members and £3 for non members.

On Wednesday May 20, the National Trust local Group have arranged a visit to Moreton Church starting at 2.15pm for 2.30pm.
There will be a guided tour of the church and a chance to see the beautifully engraved
windows by the artist American born British based artist, James Whistler.
Not far from the church is the grave of Lawrence of Arabia.
There will be a small charge of £5 for National Trust members and and £6 for non- members.
Cream teas will be served at the award winning Moreton tea rooms.
