AN UNASHAMEDLY nostalgic trip down Memory Lane is coming to Weymouth and Poole.

The All Star 60s Show is at Weymouth Pavilion on October 20 and the Concert Hall, Lighthouse, Poole, on October 23.

The show features five iconic bands from the 1960s playing their greatest hits and more.

They are: Brian Poole and the Tremeloes, The Troggs, Badfinger, The Ivy League and The Pacemakers.

Brian Poole and the Tremeloes have been active since 1958 and now tour with co-founders Brian Poole (vocals) and drummer Dave Munden, with Chesney Hawkes' dad Chip, who first played with them in 1965, on bass and vocals.

Following the death of legendary Troggs singer Reg Presley in 2013, sole surviving founder member guitarist Chris Britton decided the show must go on in memory of Reg and their late bandmates Pete Staples (bass) and Ronnie Bond (drums).

Hits such as Wild Thing, I Can’t Control Myself, With a Girl Like You, Anyway That You Want Me and Love Is All Around are just the tip of the iceberg.

Badfinger were the first band signed by The Beatles for the Apple label. Their first hit Come and Get It was written by Paul McCartney.

Known for their sweet three-part harmonies the Ivy League notched up a series of hits with songs such as Tossing and Turning, Funny How Love Can Be and That’s Why I’m Crying.

Having joined original member Perry Ford in the late 1960s Dave Buckley (drums, vocals) and Jon Brennan (bass, vocals) kept the sound alive recruiting Mike Brice (guitar, vocals) in 1990.

Gerry and the Pacemakers were the first recording artists to get three number one hits with their first three singles – How Do You Do It?, I Like It and You’ll Never Walk Alone – a feat not even their good friends The Beatles could surpass.
