The Luna Cinema, Lulworth Castle, Grease
GOING to the cinema has always been a comforting thing to do on a rainy day, so when Lulworth Castle hosted open air cinema evenings last week it was an exciting chance to experience the view of beautiful Dorset, from a romantic setting, joined with my love of the film, Grease, despite our unpredictable weather.
Just driving into the impressive castle grounds made the evening special with everyone carrying blankets and picnic chairs to our screening area. The staff were very welcoming and despite forecasts it stayed a dry evening.
Unfortunately, the large cinema screen was not set in front of the castle as pictured on The Luna Cinema website, but film-lovers had beautiful countryside views while watching the film with Lulworth Castle behind us.
There were plenty at the event to eat and drink, with its own bar and even Starbucks pop-up stall.
Gates opened at 6.30pm for people to get a prime seat (or to lay blankets) with games for children to play with before the film started.
The quality of the film was extremely impressive and the full moon, just to the right of the screen, made the evening even more romantic.
