DORSET for Singing, one of Dorset’s most popular community choirs, is now entering its seventh year and is gearing up to start a new term afresh.

During the past few years the choir has toured Oxford, Canterbury and Normandy as well as performing throughout the borough raising over £6,000 for local and national charities.

The main ethos of the choir is singing for enjoyment, there are no auditions and there is no need to read sheet music.

There are two branches, Dorchester at the United Church on Wednesdays starting September 23 and Weymouth & Portland at All Saints School, Weymouth on Thursdays, starting on September 24.

Both evenings start at 6.45pm and finish at 8pm. Just turn up for a free taster session.

Choirmaster Ed Hintze said: "Dorset for Singing is so much more than just a singing group, it's a collection of like-minded people that reap the benefits of singing for the soul create the uplifting power that music gives'.
