JOSEPH Haydn will be the focus of the new music appreciation classes run by the Dorset Rural Music School.

His life and works will be explored by music school director, Dr Richard Hall, in Dorchester, Bridport and Blandford.

The seven week courses begin in Dorchester and Bridport on Wednesday September 30 and from Thursday October 1 in Blandford.

The classes are on Wednesdays at St Swithun's, Bridport from 10 am to 11.45am and from 2pm to 3.30 pm at the United Church, Dorchester and at Dorset Rural Music School in Blandford on Thursdays 2.15pm to 3.45 pm.

The cost will be £45 for the term (£40 for Friends of DRMS) or £7.50 per individual session.
