LOCAL talent will perform at a summer music festival to be held near Shaftesbury.

Tisbury Summer Music Festival at Wallmead Farm takes place on Saturday, July 15 and features the Military Wives Choir, local bands and solo artists.

The festival's principle aims are to provide low cost family entertainment for the local and wider communities, whilst also helping sustain financial support for the Tisbury Community Choir, which continues to support local events at no charge.

Among the local talent performing are Big Brass Ska, a new, exciting Gillingham-based 10 piece popular versatile party band. Also playing are funk groove trio Jamarca, Mark James, Kiera Batchelor and Kachina Woolger.

The music will begin at 5pm and continue until late in the evening. All are welcome. The entry fee is donation only, with all profits raised helping to sustain the Tisbury Community Choir.

Camping facilities are available. Email mark@jnxmusicschool.co.uk or call 01747 873189.
