AWARD-WINNING Broadway musical and West End smash hit, the Million Dollar Quartet, visits Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts from November 14 to 18.

The show is inspired by the famous recording session that brought together rock ‘n’ roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time.

On December 4, 1956, the four star musicians gathered at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions ever.

Million Dollar Quartet brings that legendary night to life, featuring a score of rock hits including Blue Suede Shoes, Fever, That’s All Right, Sixteen Tons, Great Balls of Fire, Walk the Line, Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On, Who Do You Love?, Matchbox, Folsom Prison Blues and Hound Dog.

Peter Duncan continues in his role as legendary record producer Sam Phillips – the man who brought the four recording stars together to create music history.

Peter Duncan is an Olivier Award nominated actor who first came to attention as a presenter on the iconic television show Blue Peter.

In addition to his roles on stage, Peter creates original pantomimes and this year writes, directs and co-produces Cinderella with Lighthouse.

As well as his illustrious career on stage, Peter has had roles on television in Demolition Dad, Doctors and fronted the BBC series Duncan Dares.
