DON'T forget that Death in Paradise star Ardal O'Hanlon is headlining two nights of comedy in Dorset this weekend.

The comedian will headline Sunday Night Comedy At Weymouth Pavilion, surprisingly enough, on Sunday!

But first, tomorrow night, he'll be performing his stand-up in a sold out show at Bridport Electric Palace.

Lurking beneath Ardal’s mild mannered demeanour resides a sharp and probing comic brain. Sometimes thoughtful, sometimes silly, but always punchy, he has tickled audiences all over the world.

In a comprehensive set, he talks about not just the things that matter but also about the things that don’t matter at all. Which covers pretty much everything.

Ardal is perhaps best known for his much loved role Father Dougal Maguire in Channel 4’s BAFTA winning series Father Ted.

His acclaimed roles also include George Sunday/ Thermoman in My Hero (BBC 1) and Eamon in Big Bad World (ITV); with guest leads in Dr Who. Ardal’s debut novel The Talk of the Town proved an enormous hit, remaining on the best seller charts for more than six months.

Hosting the Sunday night comedy in Weymouth will be local comedian Tom Glover, who will be chatting to the crowd, introducing the acts and sharing his latest stories of life in the west country.

Other comedians due to headline the Sunday Night Comedy this season are Kerry Godliman and Hal Cruttenden.
