A band known for its upbeat, summery songs will be calling in to Dorset on its tour.

The Magic Gang will play the O2 Academy in Bournemouth on October 2.

With upbeat reviews across the board, a Radio 1 playlist for recent single Getting Along and a nomination for Best New Artist at the NME Awards, The Magic Gang have emerged as a force to be reckoned with.

Their self-titled debut album confirmed their rising status, and is currently the highest-charting debut from a British rock band this year.

Now The Magic Gang share their new single All That I Want Is You as they embark upon their summer festival schedule.

Inspired by stories from Brian Wilson’s controversial autobiography Wouldn’t It Be Nice, All That I Want Is You puts a slow-burning spin on their melodically buoyant, harmony-rich sound. Its closing lyric Oh Brian, won’t you come out? is the final line that emerges from the album – a reference to Wilson’s obsession with spending hours on end in his swimming pool.

The Magic Gang sold-out their entire March headline tour in advance, which included a London show at Koko. They’re now set to play a summer of festival dates which culminates at Reading and Leeds in August, before they embark upon their biggest headline tour to date in September.

In addition to the UK dates listed below, their touring schedule is boosted with European festival dates at Benicàssim and the Reeperbahn Festival, as well as a wider European headline tour in October.
