ASCERBIC comedienne Jo Caulfield hits the stage at Bridport’s Electric Palace tonight.

She was nominated as the Funniest Woman 2010 at LAFTA Awards and Best Female Stand-Up at the Chortle Awards.

Expect razor-sharp observations and scandalous one-liners as Jo discusses irritating girlfriends, negotiating with terrorists, celebrity perfumes, bespoke kitchens and a visit to HMV that culminates in having dinner with people she doesn’t know.

Doors open at 7pm and the performance starts at 8pm.

Tickets are £10 in advance or £12 on the door available from Bridport TIC on 01308 424901.

Hot Ice Theatre is presenting Bed and Breakfast and exploring the steamy underside of rural idyll in the intimate setting of the Bridport Arts Centre Café on Saturday at 5pm.

As a guest at Hive Corner, Upper Crevice’s finest (and only) bed and breakfast you will meet Carol Carpenter – the newly widowed hostess. She loves to talk.

But as Carol’s stories of local life, local people, and her lengthy marriage unfolds over 50 minutes you may suspect that things in Upper Crevice are not as comfortably cosy as they first seem.

The cost is £6 including a cup of tea with tickets available from the centre.
