What a wonderful town we live in, here in Bridport.
There are so many events going on all summer long, the last being the Hat Festival.
The town was packed and there was such a buzz, everyone happy and enjoying themselves. Well done to all those involved in the organisation.
I help to organise the Bridport Carnival and the work behind the scenes is tremendous.
It would not happen without the support of many outside the committee.
One such group is the Town Council, in particular the town surveyor, Daryl Chambers.
I am sure he goes far beyond what is expected of his duties.
I saw him busy in Bucky Doo before the weekend and on Monday morning he was back there clearing up. I know he enjoys it, but the town is very, very lucky to have someone like him.
Well done Daryl.
