Andrew Martin made a good point in his letter (Have Your Say, Saturday, October 11) What is being done for Weymouth and Portland outside of the tourist season?
How does it help Debenhams and other businesses when all the Portland buses end up on the Esplanade? And what about the workers who now have to walk round to the law courts area or to the windy and wet Esplanade to catch a bus home?
Surely, during the autumn and winter the locals should be the main priority – not the few tourists left behind after the summer.
