Thanks for helping me I am writing to say a heartfelt thank you to two very kind people who helped me in a very difficult situation earlier this week.
On Monday evening, I was driving home in the dark when a cat ran out in front of my car next to the bridge on Chickerell Road, Weymouth. Sadly the cat was killed instantly and, although I could not have possibly avoided it, I was obviously very distressed. However, two people came to my help.
One, a young passer-by named (if I remember correctly) Nicola, the other a tall gentleman who lived nearby. They took control of the situation, from handling the stricken animal to finding the owner to accompanying me to the vet.
They could have kept walking but didn’t.
I truly cannot thank them both enough.
