On behalf of the Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks project team who are currently upgrading the local electricity network in and around Weymouth, I would like to express our thanks to everyone who attended our information session earlier this week.
We recognise that when we are carrying out projects such as this there is an unavoidable impact on local traffic routes. It is therefore important that we take the time to meet the local community to discuss the work we are doing and allow our customers the opportunity to raise to any concerns that they may have.
Whilst the main topic of conversation at the information session was our traffic management scheme, it was good to be able to explain why the works are essential to maintain secure and safe electricity supplies for the local community and reassure the community of our commitment to do all we can to minimise disruption whilst the works take place.
We really appreciate the fact that so many members of the local community set aside time in their busy days to attend our session and I hope all of those who came along found it beneficial and informative.
