STAFF and passengers have raised £1,137 for Weldmar Hospicecare Trust on a mystery tour with Bluebird Coaches.

The Weymouth-based company ran a free Sunday Tea Drive for 400 customers on eight coaches to show its appreciation of their continued support and to celebrate the launch of the 2013 holiday brochure. Customers went on an afternoon Mystery Tour through the Purbeck Hills, on the Studland chain ferry to Poole and then on to the Carrington House Hotel in Bournemouth for cream tea.

Couriers sold draw tickets on the coaches with prizes of luxury hampers from Marks and Spencer.

The draw was held at The Carrington House Hotel and hampers awarded to the lucky winners. It raised £1,137 and Bluebird are donating this to the Weldmar Hospice Trust in Dorchester, which has been a source of support to family, staff and customers.

The presentation ceremony was held at the Joseph Weld Hospice yesterday.
