FANS of Downton Abbey are expected to be tempted by two lots going under the hammer in Dorchester on Thursday, December 6.
Auctioneers Duke’s are holding a fine arts sale that will include a parasol and fan that will appeal to fans of period dress.
The parasol is made of cream silk overlaid with lace and boasts an agate stone handle.
It is marked ‘Paragon S. Fox & Co’, indicating a company founded in 1868.
Bids will also be invited for a French cream ostrich feather fan featuring tiny rose-cut diamonds.
Both lots are expected to fetch between £200 and £400.
