What happened to the gritters on Monday night and Tuesday morning (14/15 January) on the Dorchester-Bridport Road?
I got to the western boundary of Winterborne Abbas at 8.45am for my usual visit to Bradpole to teach Chi Kung, starting at 9.30am.
With normal traffic I get to Bradpole just after 9.10am, but this week it took me until 10.15am!
My first session was a wash-out and I am sure that many hundreds of others also lost business or missed appointments due to the 5mph progress.
There wasn’t that much snow, but many motorists were not taking chances and I drove for about five miles in first gear.
The job of the local authority is to care for both the people and the businesses of our communities. On this occasion they failed miserably.
