Why is it people are no longer able to follow simple signs or bylaws these days.
Many areas of Portland have a sign on the green areas stating “no cycles or vehicles on mown verge” yet people have no respect for this law and continue to churn the grass up so now what you see especially along Avalanche and Weston Road is large mud pits with tyre marks in.
I understand parking is an issue in which case the affected parties should direct the issue to the council or highways authority to replace said mud pits with offroad parking.
I also have an issue with people who dont know what a “clearway” sign looks like on most of our main roads or know what it means, instead of taking notice of this sign motorists are quite happy to stop wherever they like to take a phone call putting other motorists in danger, It is simple: “don’t stop on a clear way” the sign is there for a reason.
