MOST of the snow has gone but motorists are urged to take care in icy conditions.

There are no reported road closures in place, but a Dorset Police spokesman advised anyone getting behind the wheel to take care.

He said: "Take care if you must drive. Leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front and be careful of ice and slush as the snow starts to melt."

First Bus said it will operate a normal Saturday service in the Weymouth and Bridport areas.

Damory Coaches have suspended the 210 service to Litton Cheney today due to ice and the 212 service is not serving Cattistock.

The 101 service will operate as normal.

South West Trains will continue with a revised timetable but should be operating a normal service tomorrow, subject to engineering works.

Dorset County Council gritting vehicles were out on the roads in the early hours of this morning.

Weymouth Football Club's home game against Frome Town has been postponed.

The Met Office have said there will be rain across the county today with some sleet or snow over hills. It will feel bitterly cold with a maximum temperature of 4 °C.

Tomorrow will be largely fine but very cold with a maximum temperature of 3 °C.
