A MOTORCYCLIST has died following a collision in North Dorset.
It happened on the A350 at Charlton Marshall, near Blandford, yesterday afternoon.
Police are questioning a man about the incident.
Officers said the collision involved a black Peugeot 207 being driven by a 22-year-old local man and a black Kawasaki motorcycle being ridden by a 65-year-old man from the Bournemouth area.
The biker was treated at the scene but was pronounced dead on arrival at Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester.
The road was closed for several hours while an investigation was carried out.
Police, who thanked the public for their patience during the road closure, are appealing for witnesses to the collision which happened about 1.45pm on Friday.
A 22-year-old man is helping police with inquiries.
