As someone who no longer has a membership fee to any political party, I have been more than a little taken a back by highly personal missives in your correspondence columns aimed directly at Richard Drax.
It is neither relevant not fair to suggest his background in the army, his estates or the number of family names he has inherited, have any bearing on the manner in which he carries out his duties as the Member for South Dorset.
He appears to me to conduct himself as a constituency MP with vigour and honesty and is fast becoming a regular contributor to debates in the House, irrespective of which colour rosette he may wear.
