Parents and carers in Dorset can now receive the latest information about local activities and services for families by email.
Dorset County Council’s Family Information Service is a one-stop shop that gives out useful information to parents and carers of children aged 0 to 19, or up to 25 for young people with a disability.
Families can now sign up to receive a regular e-newsletter, which will direct them to a wide range of information online including: school applications and term dates, holiday activities, local clubs and groups, adult learning course and advice and support services.
Coun Toni Coombs, cabinet member for children’s services at Dorset County Council, said: “There is such a vast range of information for families online and we hope that parents and carers will find the e-newsletter a useful tool.
“It may also help signpost them to services that they weren’t previously aware of and benefit their families.”
