WEYMOUTH-based guitar ace Robbie McIntosh will help launch a record-attempt on a Dorset beach by playing a concert.
Robbie, who has played with Paul McCartney and The Pretenders, can’t make the Guitars on the Beach event at Lyme Regis on September 7 – but he has agreed to play a concert at the Marine Theatre the day before.
The aim is to get 2,000 guitarists together to simultaneously play Buddy Holly’s classic ‘Rave On’ in order to set a UK record for the most guitarists playing one song.
