FIREFIGHTERS descended on a Barry housing estate after flames threatened to engulf three properties.
Three crew, from Barry and Ely fire stations, attended Mountbatten Road. Gibbondsown, after a blaze ripped through one home and caught two neighbouring properties just before 5pm on Sunday. (June 2).
Six firefighters used breathing apparatus and homeowners were able to get out of the buildings before crew arrived.
No-one was injured.
Crew worked through the night to dampen down the properties.
Inspectors have not yet discovered what caused the blaze.
