Appeal after spate of metal thefts in Weymouth
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a spate of lead thefts from a Weymouth garage block.
The incident, which took place on Camedown Close, was reported to Dorset Police on Sunday, August 18 at 6.30pm.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “We received a report of metal theft from the bottom of a block of garages in Weymouth.
“The whole block was targeted by thieves.
“Officers have been visiting homes in the area about the issue and delivering leaflets.”
An investigation, which will use CCTV footage, has been launched into the incident.
