A MOTOCROSS rider from Chickerell will have his attempts to break a world record filmed for a TV documentary.
Paul Oughton is hoping to set the greatest distance on a motocross bike in 24 hours at the Rogershill Raceway near Bere Regis in September.
The charity event and Mr Oughton’s preparations will be filmed for motorcycle show Blood, Sweat and Gears.
Director and creator Paul Minihane said: “When we heard about the impressive record attempt Paul was undertaking we felt we really needed to cover it.
“As well as it being for two great charities, it is a very newsworthy story and we look forward to covering the attempt itself and some of the training beforehand.”
The record attempt will raise money for the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust and Wings for Life, which funds research into spinal cord injuries.
Mr Oughton said: “There is certainly pressure on me now, although I am really happy with how training has been going.”
