Instead of axing the four firework evenings and the kite festival, which many people enjoy, bringing much needed revenue to the town, why do not Weymouth and Portland councillors look at reducing their own numbers?

Reducing the councillors by two and both mayors of Weymouth and Portland would save enough money to keep both these events.

These two events would be sadly missed by many people – would the councillors may be missed at all?
