A HOUSEHOLD recycling centre in Swanage is closed after a major blaze.
Two Dorset Fire and Rescue engines from Swanage were called to the fire early this morning, where 15 tonnes of waste were alight.
Crews had difficulty entering the site, where three skips were ablaze in the site's barn area.
The fire was out by 6.20am.
The cause of the blaze is believed to be accidental.
The Dorset Waste Partnership is assisting with investigations into the cause of the fire and will carry out structural surveys to assess any damage.
Householders are advised that the nearest household recycling centre is at Westminster Road in Wareham.
