THE ENVIRONMENT Agency has issued a flood alert for the Avon in the Brokenborough, Sherston, Fosseway, Great Somerford and Dauntsey areas.
Heavy rain through the night and into this morning means river levels are rising. Debris blown by the wind over night is also expected to cause problems where drainage channels become blocked.
