CHILDREN learning about Dorchester’s most famous literary son have been given a boost.
National education charity the Ernest Cook Trust has awarded a £9,744 grant to the National Trust to help establish a new schools programme at Thomas Hardy’s Birthplace in Higher Bockhampton, near Dorchester.
The project will also help the National Trust to appoint a learning officer to create new workshop materials and classroom packs.
