STUDENTS inspired by a charity’s work are organising a fundraising night.
Youngsters from Weymouth College are holding a night of fashion and fun on November 20 in aid of the British Red Cross.
Beginning at 7.30pm, students and a former Miss Dorset will be modelling select outfits from a Red Cross shop.
Afterwards, guests can indulge in refreshments and a spot of retail therapy at a pop-up shop in the college square, and take part in a raffle for a chance to win prizes donated by businesses, including Cineworld and the Phoenix Bakery.
One of the organisers, Molly Foster, 16, said: “We were so inspired by the work of the Red Cross that we decided to create an event that we hope will raise lots of money – and smiles.
“Organising the event is not only improving our organisational skills, but we look forward to feeling very proud of the achievement.”
She added: “And if we can help make just one person’s life just a little bit better, our mission will be complete.”
