WEYMOUTH College is celebrating being granted a licence to run the Duke of Edinburgh’s (DofE) Award.
The DofE is the world’s leading achievement award aimed at 14 to 25-year-olds looking to learn new skills, challenge themselves and meet new people.
Its mission is to inspire, guide and support young people in their self-development and recognise their achievements.
Katy Parker, DofE co-ordinator at the college, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to offer our students the chance to engage with the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for them to develop their skills and demonstrate their dedication and commitment.”
The programme will be delivered at the college and at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy.
