EMERGENCY services were alerted after an elderly woman was hit by a car in a supermarket car park in Dorchester.

Dorset Police said they were alerted to a collision between a car and a pedestrian outside Tesco. The report came in from the ambulance service at 10.30am today.

An area of the car park was cordoned off while it was investigated.

It is not thought the woman was seriously hurt.

Well I for one hope the lady is not seriously hurt and hope she gets over the accident asap and will be able to enjoy her Christmas after all.
